Declan’s First Baby Pics

Declan is destined to be a golfer.  He can’t help it.  It’s in his genes.  His Daddy talked about having to teach Declan several times today.  And after all, his Mommy married a golfer – so she’ll obviously love for Declan to play as well.

But golf wasn’t the center of today’s photo session.  Little Declan was.  The front hole at Hilton Head National was just the location of Declan’s first photo session.  Even though we had been warned that there would be a good chance of him being fussy, Declan warmed right up to the temperate weather this afternoon.  After a good meal and some walking time, he was ready for a nap.  And that’s where we took over.  Check out these teasers from Declan’s very first formal portrait session.

Thanks to Beth and Sterlyn for giving us the honor:)

Little Gavin’s First Photo Session

We photographed a very handsome little gentleman this morning.  His name is Gavin and his parents have been waiting on him to arrive for nine whole months.  Born almost two weeks ago, Gavin is still a sleepy fellow.  He was the most patient soul as his Mommy positioned him this way and that for the photos.  This is only the second time that we’ve photographed a newborn baby, but we hope that we’ve done little Gavin justice.  He is the most precious gift a parent could ask for and through these photos, his Mommy, Daddy, and Family can remember this time for the rest of their lives.  We hope you enjoy these previews from this morning’s session.

And Ben, I esteem your patience.  There should have already been a proverb:  ”Poop is temporary, but memories are eternal.”  …..but alas, I just made it up:)

Ryann loves her little brother, Gavin.  She told us so and we could tell by how gentle she was with him.

Gavin’s going to be his Daddy’s little ballplayer.  Ben’s just a few years away from yelling at the little league field and playing catch with Gavin in the yard.

Gavin’s Daddy is a firefighter and so is his Grandfather.  Who knows?  Maybe we have three generations of Firemen on our hands now:)

Ryann was sooooo good today.  Even though she waited patiently for us during the morning, she still managed to squeeze out this serene pose before we left the beach.  If Gavin is half the trooper that his big sis is, he’s going to be one good guy!

Alana Plays in the Fountain at Ellis Square

As many of you know, Alana is our niece.  She’s my only niece on my family’s side so she’s a special little lady to us!  Her Mommy and Daddy are visiting us this weekend and we all piled in the truck and headed to Ellis Square in Savannah’s beautiful downtown.  While Alana was hesitant to get in the mix at first, Aunt Veta coaxed her a little by carrying her into the fountains to begin with.  Soon after, our little doll-baby was prancing through the gauntlet of sprinkles all by herself.  Here are some links to show you all how Alana’s grown through these last two years:

Whew, that’s a lot of hyperlinking.  We’ve shot her a lot, looking back on it:) Here are some shots from today’s just-for-the-fun-of-it photo shoot.

As a shameless, plug, ask us about our Azelle Photography Baby Packages if you have a little one on the way or already here:)

Here’s Veta getting Alana primed for action!

….Almost there…

Here we go!

There were other fellow youngsters there, but Alana wasn’t too sure of them.  None of them look like the kiddies that she goes to school with.

This was her performing the “scream of delight.”  The S.O.D. was presented on several occasions during this outing:)

” ‘Mon V,  ’Mon “V ”  (a.k.a. Come on, Aunt Veta)

Like a general surveying the battlefield.

Even the best water fun ends in “The Towel”.  Alana was tired here and eager to get dried off.  She was rewarded with chocolate and peanut butter gelato afterwards!

Mark, Emmy, Lyla, and Harper

With Mommy’s photo submission, Lyla and Harper snagged Coastal Mommies’ Halloween Costume Photo Contest a few months back.  The contest was featured on Savannah Now.  We were honored to offer a portrait session and a complimentary 8×10 portrait as the first place prize.

We followed through with the session today and we now know exactly why Lyla and Harper were the winners.  These two 11 month olds were absolutely divine.  And with a perfectly coordinated (after nap) photo session set up by Mommy and Daddy, they were ready to put forth their finest poses.  They were so easy to photograph and welcomed us in right away.  We’re still remembering their sweet smiles and hugs.

Please enjoy this glimpse of today’s session and be sure to leave Mommy and Daddy some comments to enjoy.  Stay tuned in to our main website for a feature gallery of this family, to be posted later this week.

Steve, Sara, and Parker

Steve and Sara,

This post goes out to you with a special congratulations on your wedding anniversary.  Hope you enjoy this snapshot from your session.  Parker’s expressions still have us cracking up.  You guys make one beautiful family!
