Mom’s Gift
We recently got a call from a very nice lady who asked us to photograph her along with her sisters and brother. This nice lady turned out to be Kay Whitley, Michelle Whitley’s Mother in Law. If you remember, we photographed Michelle’s family before Christmas. Ms. Kay told us that she was retired and was the youngest of the folks we’d be shooting.
We have always needed some location seating for family shoots and with this session coming up, we scrambled to make sure we had adequate seating for Kay’s family………..because seniors get tired sooner than most and would rather be photographed sitting down, right. WRONG! Kay and her siblings turned out to be one of the most energetic and, dare I say, fun families we’ve ever had the pleasure of working for.
Jimmy, Emily, Kay, Judy, Susan, and Jane were really hoping to come out with a fantastic portrait for their Mother’s birthday gift. Overall, I think we ended up with several good shots to choose from. I should mention that all of these photographs were taken in the beautiful downtown area of Fort Valley. What a lovely small town! Ms. Kay, we really hope you guys enjoy this brief snapshot of your morning together.
Thanks again, Guys, for a wonderful session.

Well y’all have done it again! These turned out SO good! Although you had some beautiful subjects, I think you could make a heap of dirt look good! :) Great work!!
Super group photo and super group of folks, as well! You are right about the energy in this family, and you captured it quite well in your photographs. Thanks!

Thanks to both of you. You did a great job with a bunch of seniors, it’s hard to believe that after all these years we still enjoy laughing and being together. Looking forward to seeing all the pictures. Was a fun, cold morning.

Wow! What a handsome crew. I am fortunate to be the sister of Big J’s wife, Moosie, and aunt to two wonderful Yancey boys. Thanks Julia for making this possible. You are so lucky to have these great girls & J to be with you and love you so much. These pics will be a great asset to the family history!Kudos to the photographers.
Jason & Veta,
Thanks so much for the wonderful pictures. You two did an excellent job putting up with all of us. The whole experience was great and I’m sure Mama will love her gift.
We received this note from Emily and wanted to post it since kind words are so valuable nowadays:
