Yesterday, we had the blessing of photographing Charlotta and Tim’s wedding at The Charles H. Morris Center right here in Savannah. Tim’s a red-blooded American man and while Charlotta is one-hundred percent American too, she’s one-hundred percent Swedish too. How is that possible? You’ll have to take us at our word. (But don’t doubt me, because I’ve heard her speak both languages) With Veta being an immigrant herself, we have a warm spot in our hearts for this part of our nation’s fabric. We’re a wonderfully diverse country made special by the men and women who chanced everything when they brought their families along with their gifts and talents to this country. We’ll always be grateful for that chance taken.
The day started with Charlotta and Tim’s first look. Charlotta was glowing as she and Tim saw each other for the first time. Covering their reactions from a distance, we could clearly see the love these two have for each other. Next, we photographed their families for a short time and proceeded to the Charles Morris Center for their ceremony. Classical tunes filled the air setting the tone for the elegant evening. But perhaps the most memorable moments in the reception came when Charlotta’s Swedish grandfather reminded us all to just breathe in, breathe out, and always to fight the difficulties.
Lovely floral arrangements were provided by A to Zinnias and an absolutely delectable dinner was prepared by Cape Creations. The gorgeous and delicious carrot cake was created by Savannah Rum Runners Bakery. Catchy tunes were provided all night by VIP DJ Entertainment. Accompanying Charlotta’s aunt during the ceremony was Kenneth Smith’s guitar. Hair and makeup services were beautifully provided by Towne Salon. And last but not least, Savannah Wedding Films broadcast Charlotta and Tim’s ceremony live for all who couldn’t attend to watch. Lastly, a huge thanks shouted to Alicja Colon for helping make these photographs possible. Much appreciation to all.
