Through the Center of Georgia

Sometimes photographs have a magnetic pull over us because of the subject.  Other times, it’s another or a compilation of other factors such as the shape, the color, the texture, etc.  Below is a series of photographs that mean something to Veta and I for a variety of reasons.  Some, I’ll mention in captions and others I’ll omit.  Enjoy these photographs captured on our way home from a recent trip to Southwest, Georgia.

We’re often in the road and accordingly, our hatch plays its luggage carrying role.

You never sausage a place.  You’d have to have been here.

It doesn’t get much more Georgian than two lanes flanked by pines.

Farmland for miles.

Anyone who’s ever been to middle Georgia knows that there’s no palms or royalty here.  This is one development that never showed signs of coming to fruition.  We’ll keep our eyes peeled.

This tractor looked particularly proud of his accomplishments here in this field.

Curves.  Changes in direction.  A great many things, this photo could mean.

Not many better places to sit than right here in Dexter, GA.

I-16 Eastbound.

Between Dublin and Metter, the cloud cover became thicker and more threatening.

By Exit 116 (Statesboro), it was virtually night-time and the clouds were putting on a light show.

I should have known you didn’t leave that camera home:) I always love to see what you post (pictures and comments). Sometimes I get a glimpse of what’s in your hearts. I so love you both!!
