St. Baldrick’s Head Shaving Event – Beaufort, S.C.

This weekend, we had another awesome opportunity to support a wonderful cause and to shoot another St. Baldrick’s Foundation fundraising event.  The money that is raised at these events goes towards children’s cancer research.  To learn more about the foundation, check out our first St. Baldrick’s event that was held in Savannah.  Azelle Photography was blessed to be asked to shoot the event and in support, we have donated a free portrait session along with a framed 11×14 desk portrait.  It’s awesome to be able to support a cause like this.

The event was set up by Tony Carneavale, a Lieutenant and Paramedic with the Burton Fire District.  Although this was his first event, Veta and I thought that it was executed superbly.  Great Job, Tony!  There were over 50 Firefighters and EMS personnel from the Burton Fire District and the City of Beaufort signed up for this event and I can tell you that there were far more people than that present to support their friends and loved ones.  Gilligan’s Seafood and Raw Bar was where the event took place.  The Management and Staff at Gilligan’s were awesome and were totally supportive of this huge group of head-shavers.

Hopefully this small sample of photographs do justice to those involved in this wonderful event.  Enjoy!
